Which Candle Fragrance Is Right For You?

Which is your favorite candle fragrance type?

I love candle and there is a whole new dimension for candle maker like myself. Scented candles can be used in a lot of different ways like aromatherapy, to heighten a mood or just to make a room smell better. Candles has been used way back in history. Scented candles and oils have been used by Pagans in their religions rituals to the preferences of the gods, goddesses and sacrifice.

There are only two main type of  scented fragrance oils available to candle makers~They are essential oils and fragrance oil.

Essential oil is undiluted aromatherapy-grade oil from plant-based materials like herbs, resins and flowers. These type of oil should never be used undiluted on the skin. There really not a lot to choose from when it comes to  essential oils because they are more expensive than fragrance oils. It takes a lot of the base material in order to make just once ounce of essential oil.
Examples of Essential oil would be: Camomile, Eucalyptus, and Lavender.

Fragrance oils are cheaper because they often do not contain any of the original material that they are supposed to smell like. They are synthetic replicas or man made to smell like essential oils. Some people cannot tell the difference in the scent of essential oils compared to fragrance oils. Most candle makers often prefer the fragrance oils over the essential oils because of the hundreds of scent and they are easy on us crafter's budget.

Now you have some good background on the type of candle fragrance oils, it really doesn't matter which one you choose you still get that great smelling aroma through out your home!
